Martin Bros. Equipment Company Inc. in Wadesboro, N.C. was established in 1958 by J.E. Martin, Jr. and Lincoln Martin when they bought out an existing dealership owned by Fred T. Teal, who sold John Deere and New Holland farm equipment, as well as mules at that time. Martin Bros. Equipment kept the John Deere farm equipment line and the New Holland hay equipment line but dropped the mules. A brother-in-law, Paul Turner, Sr. was added as an owner in 1963. Martin Bros. moved to its existing location at 894 Hwy. 52 South in Wadesboro, NC in 1968.
While J. E. and Lincoln have since retired and Paul is deceased, the dealership has been sold to the second and third generation. Present Owners are Argus Martin, Linc Martin, Ken Martin, Ben Martin, Paul Turner, Jr. and Dennis Turner who are all working partners at the dealership. We presently have 16 employees which includes the owners and that covers over 350 years of experience.
Martin Bros. carries the John Deere and Frontier farm equipment line and the consumer products line. Also, carried are the New Holland hay equipment and skid-steer loader line. Other lines carried are Bush Hog, Athens, Lewis Bros., BEFCO, Rhino, Hardee, Lely, Fella, Reddick sprayers, Unverferth, PLR poultry litter rejuvenator and Hudson trailers. Martin Bros. also carries a large selection of used equipment.
A huge selection of parts are also carried for the lines mentioned above as well as a good selection of parts for older tractors and equipment.
